Volunteer

Thank you so much for thinking of volunteering at the zoo! Our dedicated volunteers actively participate in so many aspects of life at our sanctuary and revel in the knowledge that they "gave something back" to these beautiful creatures.

Our volunteers are a crucial part of the Aloha Safari Zoo. You could assist in educating the public through our outreach and special events programs, coordinate fundraising activities, help with facility maintenance and cleaning, pick up donated produce, run various recycling programs, provide animal enrichment, and eventually participate in animal handling. Once you have submitted your volunteer form, you will be invited to a volunteer orientation(please keep an eye on your spam folder for the invite).  Usually orientations are held every 2 weeks.  Once you have completed orientation, and filled out the required paperwork, you are able to volunteer at any time.

You must volunteer at least once in the first 30 days after completing orientation, if you are unable to, you will be asked to attend another orientation.

***Volunteers MUST be at least 16 years old, no exceptions ***
*Remember, our volunteers are where we choose our summer employees!*
If you are unable to attend an orientation within 60 days of submitting your volunteer form and would still like to volunteer, a new form will have to be submitted.
